Our Story

For years and years, I've read and seen so many stories about horrible and/or clueless parents in the so-called "news", and on "reality" TV. But I never believed that was a reflection of reality at all! Most of my friends have had good or great parents who loved their kids. I certainly had. Unfortunately, I lost my father and three remaining grandparents within a year when I was a teenager. My Dad was one of my best friends. My Mom, also my friend, taught me the alphabet when I was three and had me reading my first book at age four. She opened up the world to me. I've told her that many times, but how do I pay my folks back? I don't have kids of my own, so I had to find another way. As I've grown older, many of my friends have started losing their parents.  I loved these people. How can my friends and others let the world know about these wonderful people? How can they have the memories of their Moms and Dads live on?

I published some comic books and dedicated them to my folks, but it wasn't enough; plus, not everyone writes and publishes books. I always wanted to start a foundation or scholarship fund in one or both of their names, but found out it takes a great deal of money! Foundations are reserved for millionaires, which I and most folks are not. Tombstones are nice tributes, but how many people see them? I wanted a way to let the world know how great my folks were/are, and let others do the same. A way that would exist forever, and hopefully put some much needed positive PR for parents out there in the world.

And after a year of just thinking and dreaming, this site was (finally) created.

So now there's HonorMomAndDad.com. It's now up to you to make it a success. If one or both of your parents did well by you, tell us! If they're still around, don't wait till they're gone—do it now. Then send a link to your friends and other family members so they can do the same. The more people you tell about the site, the more people will see the tributes you write—and the more people will know there are still some good and even great parents in this world!

Thank you for your time and God bless you and your families!

Sincerely,
Mike Pascale
